Once upon a time not too long ago, there were three little pigs who lived contentedly
with their father.
Father pig owned a large hardware store and he was very proud of his business. He tried to teach his three little
pig sons the value of hard work. He tried to teach them the value of a job well done.
One day Father Pig decided the little pigs were ready to go out
in the world on their own and make their living. "Now, sons," he admonished, "Be sure to always keep a roll of duct tape in your
pocket, for it will always come in handy and it could someday save your life!" He handed each little pig a big roll of duct tape.
The three little pigs started on their way each with the roll of duct tape in their pocket.
As they journeyed along, the sun beat down on the little pigs.
First Little Pig grew tired and hot. The roll of duct tape in his pocket seemed so very heavy! He called out to his brother, Second Little Pig, "Hey you wanta take my duct tape? It is too
bulky and heavy. I just don't have room for it!" So Second Little Pig took the duct tape. It might be good to have two rolls...
First Little Pig bought a roll of transparent adhesive tape. It
would be smaller and easier to carry than duct tape.
Finally the little pigs came to a place where the road forked into two different directions. First Little Pig decided to take the
north road. Third Little Pig sat down to eat his lunch and rest a bit, while Second Little Pig with his two rolls of duct tape began his journey on the south road.
As he traveled, Second Little Pig grew tired of carrying the two rolls of duct tape so he just set them down on the side of the road. "I will get me a bottle of all-purpose glue. Not so bulky,"
he mused.
He found a store where he bought a small bottle of glue and was happy with his choice. He continued on his journey down the south road.
